Valley Nature Center

Valley Nature Center in Weslaco received a $30,000 donation to install a solar array on their brand new Nature Center Facility, which helped the building achieve LEED certification when it was completed. The array brings solar power and education to the building’s state-of-the-art interactive exhibits, classrooms, meeting spaces and nature store.

The Valley Nature Center is the oldest nature center in the Rio Grande Valley, and the only non-profit center fully dedicated to environmental education south of San Antonio and east of Eagle Pass.
