Houston Bike Share

Houston Bike Share is a non-profit that provides community members and visitors with an eco-friendly and affordable transportation option through the Houston B-cycle bike share program. Bringing Houston Bike Share a sun-powered solution, Green Mountain Energy Sun Club donated $50,000 for 8 new bikes and an entire station equipped with solar which supports one of Houston’s busiest docking locations. The 108-watt solar panel handles 100% of the power needs for the bike station, including the batteries. This is one of many solar-powered docking stations that Sun Club has funded as a part of our continued effort to empower non-profits with clean energy solutions that support a sustainable lifestyle.
