Project Overview

Few non-profits in the world have the respect and name recognition of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York. This renowned institution serves three primary roles: world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, national leader in arts and education and community relations, and manager of the Lincoln Center campus.

The Rose Building on the campus, which is home to multiple cultural arts organizations, is now partially solar-powered thanks to a $100,000 donation from the Sun Club. The amount of pollution-free electricity generated from the array is enough to run the washers and dryers in the student dorms on the 11th floor for four months! But more importantly, this solar installation is a shining example of the Lincoln Center's commitment to the environment and to the community.
