IDEA Public Schools

IDEA Public Schools is a growing network of tuition-free Pre-K to 12th grade public schools serving more than 36,000 students in 61 schools across Texas (San Antonio, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley).

With the inclusion of edible gardens, power generation and innovative waste solutions, IDEA Headquarters could become the first self-sustaining building in South Texas, a notable achievement for this building type.

The Sun Club donation will support IDEA Public Schools with $100,000 towards 124 solar panels for a 38kW system at the Headquarters building in Weslaco.
