Energy Savings Funds the First Ever Green Mountain Energy Solar Intern

Project Overview

The University of Houston is now partially powered by the sun, thanks to the Sun Club's  $140,000 solar donation. The solar array compliments its campus-wide environmental initiatives, which were recognized by the Princeton Review. It is being used to help reduce the University of Houston’s carbon footprint and energy costs, and educate students about the benefits of solar energy. The savings also paid for the first-ever Solar Internship on campus, with students focusing on monitoring the array's production and crafting ways to further educate their fellow students on solar energy.
