Casa Mañana worked with Green Mountain Energy Sun Club to help bring sustainability to center stage at the Fort Worth performing arts center.
Through a $225,000 grant, Casa Mañana replaced 46 outdated lighting fixtures with energy-efficient LED technology, reducing annual energy use from approximately 75,000 kWh to just 17,500 kWh, a savings of more than 57,500 kWh each year.
The new LED lighting fixtures will also reduce operational costs by approximately $24,000 annually, generating savings equivalent to funding 50 full scholarships each year for students in Casa Mañana's theater education programs.
These improvements help Casa Mañana reduce its environmental impact while supporting its mission to create exceptional theater experiences and nurture future generations of artists.
By lowering electricity costs and freeing up resources for educational opportunities, the partnership helps expand access to arts education while advancing the organization's long-term sustainability goals.
