Power outages and utility responsibilities

Green Mountain Energy supplies your electricity, but your local utility is responsible for power lines, outages, and restoration.

Select your state below to find utility information and state‑specific details.

What is a utility company?

While we supply your electricity, your utility company, also called a TDSP in Texas, delivers it. The infrastructure, including wires, transformers, and poles, is maintained by that utility.
