Project Overview
Satori Elementary School was founded in 1980 with a mission to provide a nurturing environment where children discover fundamentals within the context of an integrated, real-world curriculum. The 2.8 kW solar array donated by the Sun Club finished off roof upgrades necessary after Hurricane Ike tore through Galveston, TX. The new and improved school was now solar-powered; helping save money each month on electricity costs and serving as a teaching tool for the bright students.
