Yes. Many areas of Texas are part of a deregulated market, so you can choose a retail electricity provider that offers clean energy, plan terms, added perks and pricing you prefer.

Your local utility, or transmission and distribution service provider (TDSP), depends on where you live. The TDSPs that serve Texas through Green Mountain Energy include:

Yes. You’ll find flexible term lengths and renewable energy plans that fit apartment lifestyles, including options that align with evening or weekend usage. Enrollment is simple, and same-day service is available.1

1Same-day service is offered Monday through Saturday (except on holidays), where an existing standard "smart" meter is in place. For move-ins (including transfer of service), requests processed after 6 p.m. Central Time will be connected the next business day. For switches, requests processed after 5 p.m. Central Time will be connected the next business day. Additional charges may apply based upon your TDSP. Permit and enrollment requirements must be met before a request can be processed. Examples can be found here.

2The free-nights electricity charges (9 p.m. – 6 a.m.) will be reflected on your monthly bill and are included in the average price calculation. Green Mountain Energy reserves the right to discontinue this plan without notice.
