Announcing Green Mountain View Weekly Email and New My Account Site

Have you ever stepped outside on a particularly hot day and worried about what it would mean for your next electricity bill?  Do you sometimes wish you could take more control over your electricity usage?  Do you ever think, “hey, I haven’t heard from Green Mountain lately?”

We’re thrilled to announce a new feature that we think you’ll love – the Green Mountain View email, a weekly snapshot of how much energy you use and when you use it the most – making it easier for you to monitor your usage and estimate your electricity bill.

Beyond just seeing this month’s projected bill, you’ll also begin to spot usage trends that can help you make smarter decisions about your electricity consumption.  And we won’t just show you trends, we’ll also point you to energy saving tips that can help you manage your usage more effectively.

If you’re hungry for even more information, be sure to visit the new Usage History tab in My Account, where you can look at your usage on a monthly, daily and even hourly basis, and you can compare your usage to previous months and years.

We’ve recently redesigned the My Account site to make it easier and faster for you to pay your bill, see your billing & usage history, and manage your account settings. You’ll be prompted to switch to the new My Account and see a short tutorial the next time you log in.

If you’re not already receiving the Green Mountain View but want to, follow these steps:

  • Make sure your home has a smart meter installed– contact your transmission delivery company (Centerpoint, Oncor, AEP or TNMP) to find out more
  • Become a Green Mountain customer if you aren’t already – sign up now!
  • Provide us with your email address – through My Account or by contacting Customer Care
