Project Overview

P.E.T.S. Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic began in July 2007 to combat pet overpopulation. They provide low-cost, high-quality spays and neuters to the community of Wichita Falls. As of September 2019, P.E.T.S.’s donors and clients have made over 62,000 spay and neuter procedures possible. That is over 800,000 potentially unwanted dogs and cats that are not using the resources of the community.

P.E.T.S. is moving into a larger a space to serve more of the community. This means additional operating costs. Sun Club awarded P.E.T.S. a $94,600 grant to install a 47.73 kW solar array. It will offset 50% of the building’s energy needs, saving P.E.T.S. an average of $5,345 in electricity costs this year to use toward its mission of combating pet overpopulation.
