EDITOR’S NOTE: The Sun Club celebrated the completion of the solar installation on the roof of Lincoln Center’s Rose Building on Friday, October 10. Read more about this donation and the solar array’s impact on the performing arts non-profit in the New York Times.
It’s one thing to espouse the benefits of renewable energy. It’s another thing entirely to lace up your close-toed shoes, put on work gloves and help install a solar array.
That’s the difference between talking the talk and walking the walk, which is what a group of Green Mountain Energy employees did Wednesday in New York City when they carried brand new solar panels to the rooftop of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’s Rose Building.
The solar was donated by the Green Mountain Energy Sun Club®, which takes contributions from Green Mountain Energy, our customers, employees and supporters, to give solar energy to deserving non-profits across the country.
Lincoln Center is home to the world-renowned Juilliard School, New York City Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera and other resident organizations. This solar donation complements the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’s renewable energy portfolio, which includes 100 percent wind power supplied by Green Mountain.
When it comes to renewable energy, more is better!
