The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society‘s annual Philadelphia Flower Show is set to bloom next month, and Green Mountain Energy is picking up the carbon offset tab! The largest flower show in the nation is partnering for the first time with Green Mountain to track and offset the carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions created by factors like the event’s electricity use, staff travel, and vehicles.

Jimmy Owens, PHS Vice President and Zac Lowder, PA Market Manager, announce Green Mountain as the Flower Show’s Carbon Offset Provider at a press conference on February 4.

Starting March 1 and running through March 9, Green Mountain will have an exhibit at the show where visitors can learn how we’re balancing out the event’s estimated environmental impact, as well as how to support renewable electricity. In line with this year’s theme, “ARTiculture,” our booth will feature an interactive artistic display that will educate visitors on how renewable energy works, and the importance of preserving our most floral natural wonders!

We’re proud to be working with the Philadelphia Flower Show this year as the nation’s largest horticultural event’s Carbon Offset Sponsor. If you plan to attend, work your way through the floral fantasy on display and come pay our booth a visit!
