Sundance Square Holiday Tree Glows 100% Emissions Free

On Saturday, Nov. 23, Sundance Square flipped the switch on its 55-foot  blue spruce tree’s 5,000 LED lights. All of the tree’s lights are powered by 100% renewable energy from Green Mountain! We’ve also provided carbon offsets to mitigate the tree’s travel from Michigan to Sundance Square in Fort Worth, Texas.

Following its time in the Plaza, the tree will be recycled into mulch which provides nutrients to help grow other trees and flowers. Through these efforts, Sundance Square is avoiding 765 pounds of carbon dioxide, the same weight as one reindeer or 3,000 sleigh bells!
