Performing Arts Powered by the Wind!

Familiar with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City?  Of course you are!  Did you know that in addition to being one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations, they also have sustainability at their core?  Since October 2012, we have proudly supplied Lincoln Center with 100% wind power – so not only do Lincoln Center’s dancers soar like the wind, so does the energy that powers their performances.

“Whether our performers are soaring through a dance, or creating beautiful music on our stages, artistic energy is at our core,” Peter Duffin, Vice President Brand and Marketing for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, said. “That’s why we’re so delighted that Lincoln Center is now fueled by 100% renewable energy from Green Mountain Energy.”

During this summer’s popular free concert series, “Lincoln Center: Out of Doors,” Green Mountain will have a booth set up near the Damrosch Park band shell. Already a Green Mountain customer in NYC?  Come on down and enjoy the music. Have friends who aren’t customers yet?  Bring them, too — for every new customer who signs up at the event, we will make a $25 donation to support public programming at Lincoln Center.
