When you become a BeGreen Texas Driver, a $4.00 monthly charge will be added to your Green Mountain Energy electricity bill. This purchase offsets 5 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually by planting 17 trees in a national reforestation project.

These tree plantings will both offset CO₂ emissions and also provide natural habitats for wildlife in areas previously destroyed by disease or natural disaster. Your membership in the BeGreen Texas Driver program adds to over 125, 000 trees planted by Green Mountain Energy Electricity customers through the American Forests Global Releaf initiative.
