“This donation will help Keep Dallas Beautiful continue its efforts in beautifying the community and supporting its educational initiatives,” said Green Mountain’s Brcka “We are thrilled to see that Dallas area residents went on Facebook to vote and to share their enthusiasm for their city and the environment.”

On May 31st , 2011, director of sales at Green Mountain Energy Company, Kelly Brcka, presented the check to Claudia Alvarez-Farris, the Executive Director of Keep Dallas Beautiful, at the organization’s local office, at 2904 Floyd Street, Suite D, Dallas, Texas 75204. The money will be used to continue to fulfill Keep Texas Beautiful’s mission to improve community environments through litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction. Keep Dallas Beautiful hosts New Pride in Your Neighborhood and other educational programs throughout the year while also participating in statewide efforts such as the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off.

“We’re excited to have the support of a company like Green Mountain Energy Company,” said Cathie Gail, executive director of Keep Texas Beautiful. “On a state level, one of our primary goals is providing education and support to our more than 365 local affiliates.
