BeGreen® Partners With AAA to Provide Discounts on Carbon Offset Products
Members of Six AAA Clubs Now Have Opportunity to Purchase Discounted Carbon Offset Products Through ‘Show Your Card & Save®’ Program
AUSTIN, Texas — July 10, 2008 — BeGreen® — the carbon offsets division of Green Mountain Energy Company — announced a partnership with AAA today to offer discounts on the purchase of carbon offset products to AAA members in select areas. The Automobile Club of Southern California, AAA New Mexico, AAA Hawaii, AAA Alabama, AAA Missouri (Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Kansas, South Indiana, South Illinois) and AAA Northern New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont) are participating. The partnership allows their 8.7 million members to purchase carbon offset products from BeGreen at a special 10 percent discount as part of the AAA ‘Show Your Card & Save®’ program.
AAA members in these six clubs will be able to receive discounts on any of BeGreen’s Express products, including:
The discount also applies to BeGreen’s Gift of Green products — biodegradable gifts containing seeds that can be planted to grow cilantro, Forget Me Not flowers or chili peppers. With each purchase of a these environmentally friendly gifts, BeGreen plants one native tree as part of a reforestation project with American Forests.
