F Gary Phillips and Erich Landis Bring More Than 40 Years of Business Experience to the Green Mountain Energy Team
Austin, TX — December 3, 2004 — Green Mountain Energy Company, one of the nation's largest retail providers of cleaner* electricity, announced today that it has named Gary Phillips as vice president of commercial and industrial services and Erich Landis as vice president of direct sales for the Commercial Services Division, to continue its aggressive growth strategy in Texas and nationwide.
Mr. Phillips comes to Green Mountain Energy Company with over twenty-seven years of marketing, business development, and professional experience in the energy sector, most recently as senior vice president of Power Brokers Energy Consulting Firm. Mr. Phillips has held numerous, key industry positions throughout his career mostly in natural gas marketing and trading. He made the transition to retail power marketing in 1999 with Enron Energy Services where he was director of national energy origination.
Mr. Landis comes to Green Mountain Energy Company with over 13 years of sales and business development experience, most recently as the national sales manager for Strategic Energy focusing on selling energy to restaurant and retail outlets in nine deregulated states. Mr. Landis will be responsible for Green Mountain Energy Company's commercial sales efforts in Texas and nationwide.
