In Oregon, utility customers of Port land General Electric (PGE) can choose a 100% renewable energy option supplied by Green Mountain Energy Company.  Choosing one of PGE’s renewable energy products has several benefits:

•  You will remain a PGE customer and your service will be just as reliable as it is today.
•  You will be supporting energy that is 100% renewable.1
•  You can help support improvements for native fish habitats by electing the Habitat Support supplement.

Product Options

Green Source®

When you choose the Green Source® product, you are purchasing 100 percent of your electricity from renewable sources, which reduces your reliance on fossil fuel sources.

Clean Wind

With Clean Wind, you buy small units of wind energy.  The new wind comes from wind farms in Oregon, Washington and California, as well as Idaho, Wyoming and/or Montana.

Habitat Support® (supplement to one of the two main options)

You may also select to support the restoration of local fish habitat by paying an additional $2.50 per month, which goes directly to The Nature Conservancy.

100 percent of your monthly usage is offset with renewable power from new resources.*

Blocks of Clean Windsm are offered in 200 kWh units, each of which represents about 25 percent of your monthly usage.**

Green Source® 100 percent of your monthly usage is offset with renewable power from new resources.* Your regular PGE energy rate plus an additional $0.012 per kWh.

Clean Wind SM

With Clean Wind, you buy small units of wind energy.  The new wind comes from wind farms in Oregon, Washington and California, as well as Idaho, Wyoming and/or Montana This is offered in 200 kWh units, each of which represents about 25 percent of your monthly usage.** Cost: Add an extra $3.50 per 200 kWh unit — purchase as many units as you wish.

Habitat Support®

(not applicable)

First, you must select Green Source.

A monthly fee goes directly to the Nature Conservancy to support stream habitat for salmon and other fish.

$2.50 per month added to one of the plans you select above.

* “New” refers to facilities that became operational after July 1999.
** Based on a PGE renewable customer using 790 kWh per month. Your cost may vary.

1 Compared to typical Oregon system power. You will not have electricity from a specific generation facility delivered directly to your house, but your electricity consumption will be matched annually in the northwest power grid by electricity from new wind and low-impact hydroelectric power sources.
