Location: Houston
We are currently seeking a Retail Sales Manager with outstanding leadership, selling, and sales management skills. This person will oversee our new Retail Sales Channel in the Houston area and will have a lead role in hiring, coaching, developing, and managing a dynamic team of field sales supervisors and sales agents for multiple retail locations.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assures sales goals are met for each location
- Motivates and encourages field agents through side by side selling with agents
- Maintains superior sales skills and is able to lead by example in direct sales
- Builds, coaches, motivates, and retains a team of sales agents and supervisors
- Partners with corporate Marketing, HR, Accounting, Sales Operations and other departments on a regular basis
- Handles confidential and time sensitive data
- Identifies key characteristics of successful sales agents to aid in recruiting quality candidates
Experiences, skills, and abilities needed:
- Requires 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably 2+ years in a retail environment
- Requires 3+ years of experience leading and managing a sales team
- Requires great motivational and coaching skills
- Requires “interruption sales” experience
- Requires experience turning prospects into customers in a single conversation
- Prefer sales experience involving enrollment or subscription/sign-up process
- Must be familiar with a variety of the sales concepts, practices, and procedures
- Requires experience exceeding set sales goals/metrics
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and web applications
- Requires experience in handling confidential data
- Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
