Position Summary:

Green Mountain Energy Company is seeking a Market Manager with outstanding sales leadership and management skills. This position will be responsible for managing our sales and recruiting efforts for our residential sales program in New York City and will ensure that sales targets are met on a monthly and annual basis.

This position will manage sales agents for our Apartment Community Program (ACP) and store fronts and events sales channels and will work with our Web and Inside Sales managers to ensure that goals are met in those sales channels. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales and will work closely with Regional Business Director.

Position Responsibilities:

• Recruit sales agents for store fronts and events and ACP sales efforts
• Assure that sales agent productivity goals are met
  
• Spend the neccesary time in the field leading, motivating, teaching, and selling along side of sales agents
• Seek out and secure productive selling opportunities
• Work with Greenmarkets management to schedule selling opportunities
• Work with Web and Inside Sales Managers to position New York products and value propositions to prospects that come in through those channels
• Work with ACP partners and property owners to secure contracts and subsequent selling opportunities.
• Assure the quality of sales
• Prepare and submit payroll for sales agents
• Manage to acquisition cost targets
• Provide competitive and other field related feedback
• Work with stake holders across departments including HR, accounting, marketing, & public relations to support sales efforts
• Generate weekly and monthly sales reports
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• A sincere desire to help protect the environment is a plus
• Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• 5 years experience leading sales teams to successful outcomes
• Must have strong documentation, communication and follow-up skills
• Knowledge of energy/deregulation strongly preferred
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• College degree preferred
