Position Summary:

Promote Green Mountain Energy^® residential electricity products to customers in the Texas region.  Will be responsible for communicating the key values of our products to residential customers, seek selling opportunities, and close sales to successfully enroll a new customer. The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for pursuing opportunities within their assigned territory.

Position Responsibilities:

• Arrive at selling locations as scheduled, wearing appropriate branded shirt and badge provided, and bringing sales materials provided.
• Accurately and positively inform prospects in retail and event booth situations about the opportunity to choose pollution-free electricity for their homes.
• Close/sign up prospects showing interest in Green Mountain Energy® electricity products.
• Upgrade and improve sales presentation, knowledge of products, services and rates and attend sales meetings as required.
• Follow up on sales prospect opportunities.
  
• Serve as a training resource within the direct sales group which may include activities such as sales mentoring, role-playing and training.
• Build relationships with storefront and event location contacts.
• Provide leads and input on new storefront and event opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2 years proven sales experience.
• Able to communicate effectively, manage projects, and ability to develop an understanding of the industry.
  
• Sincere desire to help change the way power is made.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and close with customers.
• Understand sales techniques and customer needs.
• Knowledge of energy/deregulation a plus.
• Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Basic computer and organization skills required.
