Bill Burden joined Green Mountain Energy Company in 2009, holding the positions of Chief Risk Officer and Chief Environmental Officer. These duties include the oversight of the company’s risk management activities, as well as stewardship of the company’s environmental vision, pollution-free procurement programs and building relationships with other organizations committed to improving the environment.
Prior to joining Green Mountain, Bill spent 32 years with BP plc in the United States, UK and Netherlands. His duties spanned across engineering, finance, planning, business development and regulatory, having last served as Chief Commercial Officer for BP Energy in Houston.
He has held board positions with Green Mountain, Natural Gas Suppliers Association, and Asia Society Texas. He is a cum laude graduate from Texas A&M University.
